About This Dog for Adoption

Milo's ideal home

8-year-old Milo is a handsome crossbreed looking for a calm, understanding adult home where his boundaries will be respected and his routines can be gently supported. His sweet, friendly character would blossom with adopters who enjoy a quieter pace of life, in a home that can offer him a secure garden to potter and play in, along with relaxed walks where ongoing lead training can continue. Milo copes well with busy environments and long journeys, making him well suited to a residential area or a small town. Although, he will need support from his new family during fireworks and loud events. He will need gradual introductions to new people as he can have his guard up initially, and although he will settle nicely when left alone, this time must be built up slowly. While he doesn’t need much exercise, he does value consistency, patience and a home that understands he prefers parallel walks rather than close interactions with other dogs. An adult-only household is essential, though sensible children who understand boundaries could visit.

Could you be Milo's perfect match?

At heart, Milo is a lovely, warm companion with a playful streak that really shines once he feels comfortable. He adores his toys, especially soft ones, and will happily instigate a noisy, enthusiastic games of tug that show off his excitable and joyful side. He loves affection on his terms, melting into a good chest or shoulder scratch. Milo has a gentle, low-energy nature overall, balanced by moments of pure fun and silliness that make him a rewarding companion. With the right match, he offers loyalty, friendship and plenty of endearing quirks - making him a wonderful choice for someone looking for a dog with personality who will truly appreciate being understood.
