About This Dog for Adoption

Charlie's ideal home

Charlie is a gentle-natured senior chap who was originally found as a stray before coming into our care, and is now residing in a temporary foster home, where he has proven himself to be a sweet and loving houseguest. Charlie loves nothing more than spending quality time with his people pals and lapping up as much attention and affection as he can get. He is seeking a home where his new family are around most of the time to keep him company, and who could allow him to sleep in the bedroom with them at nighttime. Leaving him alone at home is something that should be built up very gradually. Being an older boy, Charlie is looking for a quiet and peaceful home environment, where the youngest members of his family are of secondary-school age and he will need to be the only pet at home. However, he could possibly have calm walking buddies who won’t expect too much from him. A garden of his own would be preferred, as Charlie doesn’t always wish to go out for long walks and sometimes prefers a short potter and chilling out in the garden.

Could you be Charlie's perfect match?

Despite the occasional zoomies that he gets once back from his walks; 13-year-old Charlie has been described as a ‘couch potato’. He has been known to spend his days snoozing the day away on the sofa and especially enjoys if he can curl up on your lap while doing so. Charlie will occasionally chase a ball over a game of fetch but is much more interested in interacting with his favourite people, receiving plenty of fuss and affection. Charlie has recently had a dental, and his jaw was damaged in the process, he is now fully recovered but can be a little sensitive when the vets try to look in his mouth, which is completely understandable.
