About This Dog for Adoption

Mars and Crunchie's ideal home

Mars and Crunchie are on the search for their forever home with adopters who will shower them with lots of love and attention. They will need to be the only dogs in the home as they have shown to be uncomfortable around other dogs; growling, showing teeth and appeasing body language. Once settled into the home, Mars and Crunchie could be happily left for long periods of time if this is built up slowly. It is not essential for them to go to a home with a garden pending that they get enough opportunity to go outside. They would be best suited to live with older primary school aged children who can give them space when they need it.

Could you be Mars and Crunchie's perfect match?

The sweetest duo you might ever meet; Mars and Crunchie. These two are the sweetest boys with wonderfully affectionate natures. They are sure to win you over instantly with their bubbly personalities. They both like to climb into your laps for gentle affection and love. Mars and Crunchie like playing with their soft toys and always get great pleasure out of them. They adore their treats and will take them gently from your hand. These two are sure to bring lots of joy to their forever home.

Chihuahua Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Chihuahua.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Chihuahua Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
