About This Dog

Gizmo's ideal home

Meet Gizmo! Gizmo is a beautiful 9-year old Chihuahua looking for his forever home. Gizmo is looking to be the only dog in the home, and for all children to be 16yrs+ as he can be quite a worried lad. Gizmo is a loving dog who has had a bit of a rough start in life. He can be worried by more formal handling, and doesn't enjoy being picked up, however, he does love a cuddle once he has gotten to know you!
Gizmo is happy to let you know when he wants fuss, but doesn't want to be overhandled so he would suit understanding adopters that are willing to give him his space when he asks for it. Gizmo is a good boy, but can boof at dogs out and about if he's feeling crazy, but is easy to come away. He is a sweet angel who just needs a bit of patience and time to come around! Gizmo is a bit fan of chicken, so this is a great aid in making friends and any training he may need.
Gizmo isn't looking to go for hikes, but he enjoys getting out and about for his sniffy walks where he can explore the environment around him. He walks well on the lead, loves his food and will be a wonderful companion.

Could you be Gizmo's perfect match?

Gizmo is a handsome gentleman looking for his retirement home! Gizmo is a worried boy, so would prefer a quieter home with calmer owners that can give him his time and space to come around. Once he has made friends, he's a loving and affectionate boy.
Gizmo may need some support on his house-training but he can be left for 4-6 hours with a break once settled. He travels well in the car, so would make a fun adventure buddy but would definitely love a sofa to curl up on and snooze his evenings away!

...dog in the home, although he tends to ignore other dogs when out and about. He could potentially live with cats, as he has previously met them and shown little interest. Frankie was brought to us because he was being left alone for extended periods (around 6–9 hours), which he struggled to cope with. He can find being left difficult and may vocalise when alone, so he...
