Bella is a lovely 10-year-old girl with a medium energy level who is looking for a patient and understanding home where she can truly relax. Bella is a sweet little lady that enjoys being out and about sniffing around but once she has had her walks she thrives on affection and loves nothing more than curling up on your lap for a cuddle, making her a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys having a loyal shadow by their side. She is happy meeting new people, although she can be a little more cautious around men at first and gets worried with visits to the vets. Bella will need to be the only dog in the home, but can have calm walking buddies to help her build her confidence around other dogs. She does guard her food and treats so this will need to be managed in the home and when around other dogs. Bella does struggle with separation anxiety, so she is looking for a home where someone is around for most of the day and where any time spent alone can be introduced gradually and positively.

Bella is best suited to a home where she can be the centre of attention without other dogs. If living with children, they should be older secondary aged and able to understand the importance of giving Bella space while she is eating or enjoying a treat helping to manage her resource guarding. In return, Bella will reward her family with endless affection, companionship, and plenty of cuddles. With consistency, understanding, and a loving home Bella has so much love to give and will make a devoted best friend.
