Oreo's ideal home

Oreo is 9 years old and has come in with his wifey Biscuit and son wiggly through no fault of their own. He is an older chap now and can be grumpy with other dogs but loves his chi family so would love to be rehomed with them. However, if you only had room for two then he would prefer to be with the Mrs, as he follows her around like a lovesick pup! A typical chihuahua – he can be vocal, particularly with other dogs and some visitors. He does have knee issues which he has pain relief for and may need ongoing hydrotherapy at the centre. He is probably looking for more of a quieter home given his age, so would prefer not to live with young children but would be ok with kids over 11 and no other pets. A garden to call his own would be great, as he has never had that before and would prefer not to be left for more than 2 to 4 hours at a time initially

Oreo is a sweetheart and deserves to find his forever home. He would best suit people who have had the breed before and are happy to have a companion who might not always want to get out and about for a walk. We think Oreo would love a home where he can be given some time to get used to his new lifestyle (ideally with Biscuit and Oreo). This little chihuahua family were not getting a lot of walks in their last home and as a result are not used to going out on lead or having visitors to the home. They would not be able to be let off lead because they do like to bark and be snappy with other dogs, so that’s why a garden is important for them all, so they get to have some freedom.
