About This Dog for Adoption

Izzi's ideal home

Izzi needs a home where any children are over 16 and everyone will respect her space. She is house trained and can be left alone for a few hours once she has settled in. Izzi has no interest in other dogs and will need to be the only pet at home. She will need a few visits paying to her at the centre before she goes home.

Could you be Izzi's perfect match?

Izzi can be a nervous little bird at times, and she appreciates people giving her time and space to get to know them. When she does, she's very happy to spend time with you and be handled, and you know you're good when she climbs into your lap! Izzi is unsure about lots of things, new situations and other dogs being two of the main ones. She has begun to settle into her walks around the centre but likes to really sniff and take in her environment. When she's off lead she seems to relax well and likes to zoom about with joy. In her previous home she has objected to people disturbing her when she has been sleeping as she spooks easily, so her adopters will need to keep this in mind. Izzi is also afraid of loud noises in the home such as the hoover, noises outside like fireworks etc, and it would be nice if she could have a safe space to retreat to when she's feeling this way, such as a covered crate. She has lived with another dog but didn't really care for much interaction with it, and she has been the same with the dog sat the centre. She doesn't seek any contact with them and will show her teeth if they get in her face, but she's been able to walk with a few small dogs that we know won't bother her.

Billy should have some nice friends for walking but due to his love of humping everything in sight...
