Billy's ideal home

Billy can live with children over the age of 16 and needs to be the only pet at home although he will walk with quiet dogs. We have no history for Billy so cannot guarantee that he is house trained or used to being left alone. Billy will need a few visits to him at the centre before going home.

Could you be Billy's perfect match?

Little Billy is a charming boy who likes to take a minute to check you out but then is happy for a gentle fuss. He isn't overly affectionate but you'll get a tail wag when he's familiar with you, he just doesn't like to be overhandled. He will happily jump into your lap or even snuggle into your jacket when he's comfortable but if he's not feeling like it then he shouldn't be pushed. Billy loves toys! We often hear squeaking coming from his kennel as he throws them around and catches them happily by himself. He will happily drop them for you too, and is eager to swap for something else. We don't know how much exposure Billy has had to other dogs in the past but he seems happy enough to approach other dogs, and doesn't worry about their size. He'll say hello but then can be conflicted if they make any play moves towards him and doesn't quite know what to do. Billy should have some nice friends for walking but due to his love of humping everything in sight it's probably better that he's the only dog in the household at present! He's a super little chap and if he's allowed the time and space he requires to settle in to his new life he should progress quickly.
