Pepe's ideal home
Pepe is an approximately six-month-old puppy with a gentle nature and a curious spirit. Although he can be worried when meeting new people, he is beginning to show his inquisitive side and is making lovely progress with his confidence. Having led a very sheltered life, the world is still a big and sometimes overwhelming place for this tiny boy, so he is looking for a patient family who will be happy to visit him several times before he goes home and allow him to build trust at his own pace. Pepe will need all the usual puppy training, including house training. A safe, secure garden or outdoor space where he can explore without pressure would be a huge benefit while he continues to gain confidence.
Could you be Pepe's perfect match?
Pepe could live with older primary school-aged children who understand how to interact gently with a small, nervous dog. He enjoys the company of other dogs and will need ongoing socialisation to help him continue developing his confidence. He could happily live with another calm, small dog that is tolerant of puppy behaviours (any resident female dog would need to be neutered), as having a confident canine companion may help him settle into home life. Pepe cannot be left alone initially, and any time apart should be built up gradually as he adjusts to his new routine. For now, he will need to remain on lead when out and about while his confidence grows. With patience, kindness, and positive reinforcement, this sweet little boy has all the potential to blossom into a happy, confident companion.
