About This Dog for Adoption
Pearl's ideal home
Sweet little lady Pearl is a 2 year old Chihuahua who loves to use her nose to explore and sniff out exciting smells. She is learning about toys and loves to chase them around if thrown for them, she isn’t really sure what to do once she has caught them just yet. She takes a little time get to know you, but once she has a bond and trusts you she loves a fuss, she will happily hop into your lap and rub her head on you. She likes a gentle neck scratch. This cute little bean is on the lookout for a loving new home.
Could you be Pearl's perfect match?
Pearl is looking for a calm and quiet home with minimal visitors. She would like adopters who can take her on sniffy adventures in quieter walking areas to begin with and who will take the time to help her settle in at her pace and give her all the love and attention she deserves. She could live with sixth form/college aged children who will understand that she will need time and space to settle in, who will play with her nicely and give her space to rest when needed. Pearl is worried by other dogs so would like to be the only pet in the home so she can have all of the attention to herself, she will need to go on walks in low dog populated areas so she can enjoy her time out and about. Pearl is learning about the world outside, and has little training so far, she is a foodie girl so once she has had time to settle in she could be enticed to engage in training in short, sweet sessions with the help of a tasty treat. She would like her own private, secure garden to potter around and play in at her leisure. Pearl can settle nicely in hoe so could be left for up to 2-4 hours, this will need to be built up slowly once she has had time to settle into her new home. Pearl will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home with potential home visits to make sure that she is settling in nicely, so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
