About This Dog

Bailey's ideal home

Bailey can live with children of high school age but needs to be the only pet at home as he is quite wary of other dogs. He is house trained and can be left alone for a couple of hours once he has settled in. Bailey will need regular grooming.

Could you be Bailey's perfect match?

Little Bailey is a happy chap but somewhat unsettled by the sudden change in his circumstances. He's in need of a new home through no fault of his and he has only ever lived one with person so bonds quite deeply. Bailey would likely be better in a multi person home so that he doesn't become over-attached to one person in particular. He loves his walks and can get very excited to explore, wriggling about and sometimes chewing on his lead whilst he's getting his walking gear on! Bailey loves toys, especially chasing after them or playing tuggy with his handlers and gets very giddy when having fun. We don't think Bailey has had much exposure to other dogs in his previous home and he has very mixed reactions when meeting them. If they're not looking at him, he will give their behind a cheeky sniff but if they dare make eye contact, poor Bailey panics and begins to bark! We've been walking him near to other dogs that we know won't pay him any mind, helping build up his confidence around others. His new family will need to be prepared to work with Bailey, building up the same confidence and not getting him into situations that make him afraid and uncertain.
