About This Dog

Flower's ideal home

Ash and Flower are two adorable Chihuahua girls, Ash approximately six months old and Flower approximately 1year to 18 months who are looking for a very special home where they can stay together. Having only ever known each other, the girls take great comfort from their bond, with the slightly more confident Ash helping to reassure her best friend Flower, when she feels unsure. Both are shy and worried around new people and will need several meet-and-greets before they are ready to go home, allowing them to build trust at their own pace. They have had very little experience of the outside world, so many everyday sights and sounds can feel overwhelming. Their new family will need to be patient, understanding, and committed to helping them gradually build confidence through positive experiences. Despite their worries, they are typical playful chihuahuas who love interacting with each other and enjoy playing with toys.

Could you be Flower's perfect match?

Ash and Flower are looking for a calm, adult-only home where their boundaries will be respected and they can settle into life without pressure. They are under-socialised around other dogs, having only ever known each other, so they will need careful introductions and ongoing socialisation as their confidence grows. As young puppies, they will also need continued house training, lead training, and all the other basics that come with raising a puppy, any time left alone should be introduced very gradually as they adjust to their new routine. These girls have playful energy and will benefit from use of a private secure garden or outdoor space as they start to negotiate the world and are happiest taking life at their own pace, with plenty of opportunities to explore, play, and learn in a safe environment. Their adopters will need patience above all else—the key to earning the trust of these sweet little girls is allowing them the time and space they need to blossom into confident companions.
