About This Dog for Adoption

Dragon's ideal home

Say hello to Dragon, our sweet little 1 year old Crossbreed. Dragon is a shy boy who may take a little while to warm up to you, because he has never left the house before and isn't used to being around people. He is currently sharing his kennel with two of his brothers, so would benefit from having social doggy friends in the future and could potentially live with another dog pending a successful meet at our centre. Any children in the home should be 11+ and able to give Dragon his space when he needs it. Due to never being left alone in the home before, Dragon's leaving hours would need to be built up slowly. This sweetie is looking for a quieter home where he can take his time settling in and learning about the world around him.

Could you be Dragon's perfect match?

Dragon is happy in his kennels with his brothers and settles well, although when he is worried by loud noises or sudden movements he can hide in the corner. It is important that Dragon's new family understand he will need a quiet space to go to when he is feeling overwhelmed as this will help him feel safe enough to build that relationship with you. Despite being a more worried boy, Dragon is gaining confidence every day in our kennels and we can't wait for him to live up to his brave name!

Dogs Trust Adoption Process

Thinking of adopting through Dogs Trust? Here's what to expect before you start your application.

  • Register your interest in adoption on the Dogs Trust website - you can't apply for specific dogs directly.
  • Create an account to favourite dogs you're interested in and help the team understand your preferences.
  • Dogs Trust will match you with dogs that fit your lifestyle and home environment.
  • Some dogs listed here may already be rehomed or reserved, as updates can take time to sync.
  • If matched, you'll go through their adoption and home-check process before taking your new dog home.
