About This Dog

Toby's ideal home

Toby is a lovely little older gentleman who is looking for a calm and cosy retirement home. He is a very friendly boy who enjoys meeting people and is always happy to say hello. After losing his owner, Toby has understandably found all the recent changes a little overwhelming, so he is looking for patient adopters who will let him settle in at his own pace and give him lots of reassurance and love.
Toby can live with children aged 14+ as he would really suit a quieter home environment where he can relax and enjoy a slower pace of life. He has previously lived with dogs and cats and is friendly with dogs he meets out and about, so he could happily live with another calm dog in the home. Toby is a little under-socialised, so he can sometimes be unsure in new situations, but he is a sweet-natured little lad.
Toby enjoys gentle walks but, as an older boy, he can tire quite quickly now and would much prefer shorter strolls followed by a comfy nap on the sofa. He is good on lead and travels very well in the car. Toby can be a little fussy with his food and isn’t overly interested in toys, but he absolutely loves affection and being close to his people. He is happiest curled up beside you enjoying all the fuss and cuddles.

Could you be Toby's perfect match?

Toby is looking for kind and understanding adopters who are happy to give an older dog the love and comfort he deserves. He may need a little time to adjust to a new routine, but once settled he is a gentle and affectionate companion who just wants to be close to his people.
As Toby is now in his senior years, he does have some age-related medical needs, including ongoing care for his ears and teeth, so his new family will need to be prepared to support him with this. Toby would suit someone looking for a calm companion rather than an energetic dog, and he will make a wonderful addition to a quiet home where he can enjoy lots of love, cosy naps and gentle adventures.

Gizmo isn't looking to go for hikes, but he enjoys getting out and...

...dog in the home, although he tends to ignore other dogs when out and about. He could potentially live with cats, as he has previously met them and shown little interest. Frankie was brought to us because he was being left alone for extended periods (around 6–9 hours), which he struggled to cope with. He can find being left difficult and may vocalise when alone, so he...
