About This Dog

Rosie's ideal home

Meet the golden Rosie, a sweet 12-year-old Chihuahua. She is looking for a patient and understanding home that can give her the time she needs to settle and build trust. She can be worried by unfamiliar people and handling initially, so her adopters should be prepared to let her approach interactions at her own pace and continue the positive confidence-building work she has started in our care. Rosie would suit adopters who appreciate a quieter companion. She could live with another calm dog and a cat, pending a scent swap. Rosie is suitable to live with older secondary children.

Could you be Rosie's perfect match?

Rosie is a sweet little lady who enjoys the quieter things in life. Once she has had time to get to know you, she becomes incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than curling up on a lap for a cuddle. She will happily waddle over to her favourite people, climb into their lap and ask for fuss, often rolling onto her back for belly rubs and gently pawing for more when the attention stops. Rosie enjoys exploring at her own pace, taking in the world with her nose, and can often be found pottering around calmly before settling down for a snooze in a cosy bed. She is a gentle soul who takes treats politely, enjoys soft, tasty snacks and has a lovely, calm nature once she feels safe and comfortable with those around her.
